Waiting for the Resurrection

We wait.  

We wait for the glorious celebration of our Risen Savior on Easter morning.  This Good Friday is a day to contemplate the incredible and indescribable love of Jesus that he bestowed on us, sinners.  The Easter season is my favorite time of year and I absolutely love the joy and worship that fills my heart when I think about the love that Jesus has for each of us.  As a young girl, growing up in my church, we never anticipated Easter too much or experienced the season in its entirety.  Easter pretty much meant get a new outfit and show up Sunday morning.  

However, in my adult life, I have been blessed to be apart of a church that fully celebrates the entire Easter season and what a blessing that is!  I love being able to "take part"  in the feet washing on Maundy Thursday, the stations of the cross and meditation of the crucifixion of Friday and then we wait.....

We wait for Sunday morning!!  I can't wait!  

And the amazing thing is this:  

We can celebrate the majesty of Easter EVERY single day!  Isn't that awesome?  It is incredible that Jesus IS ALIVE! 

Each one of us can be washed and forgiven and live our life with a risen King!
