On Saturday we celebrated the adorable John Michael's 1st Birthday in Birmingham. We don't get together with JM and his parents as much as we'd like to, but it is always nice to see them when we do!
Something about myself that I'm working on getting better with- is being more punctual. I will try my hardest to be on time but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. We arrived to the birthday party an hour late; which is terrible, but we did have an hour and a half drive to get there.
Kay hosted the most precious "Bee-Day" I've ever seen. Everything was so cute!
Beehives were hanging everywhere.
John Michael and his parents are going to love reading over these cards when JM is older. Such a good idea!
The smash cake shaped like a bee hive was so creative.
These cake pops were my favorite part! I bet that was not easy to make and they look so good!
Foster got front and center when JM started eating cake. ha!
They even shared a little bit with him and Foster was a happy little boy:)
While John Michael was busy eating his cake, Foster was checking out his toys....
I think I know what Foster would like for Christmas!
As they were discussing their fun day, all of us grown-ups were cracking up at Foster's wedgie!
Foster was so in love with John Michael and he wouldn't stop hugging, kissing and squealing to get his hands on him. They took a couple tumbles because of it. I bet JM was happy to be left alone once we went home!
And one more goodbye hug.
Happy Birthday sweet boy! We had a great time at your party!
We made a couple stops, while we were in the big city and then we headed back home only to get to supper club an hour and a half late too. We always have so much fun catching up with friends and we have loved being back in Selma and are staying super busy with all these new people.

Such a cute party!
I was going to comment on your last post about Christmas candy! Christmas candy is one of my all-time favorite (if it's possible to pick a 'favorite') things about Christmas. Each year, my family starts towards the beginning of Decemeber making peanut-butter balls, peppermint bark, and peanut brittle. We always wrap it up and give it to teachers/friends/neighbors without our family Christmas card. Plus, we always have TONS at home. It just doesn't seem like Christmas without those candies. (Which is one reason I am SO ready to get home!!) Your recipes look delicious...I might need to try some new ones! : )
I loved your comment on my blog, because I can completely identify with that feeling. I head home Thursday right after my last 2 finals, so am going to spend much of tomorrow packing, packing, packing. I cannot wait!
Sorry this is a long, rambling comment...just procrastinating for a quick minute. I hope you and your sweet family are having a wonderful holiday season!

Punctual is not my middle name. Gail is, actually, but that's not the point. (Guess you can't guess my 1st name. ;) I hate being late. Hate it. Really! My excuse is 3 kids. THREE! T.H.R.E.E.! Oh...and a puppy. I can blame it on her, too, now.
Foster's wedgie. Haaaaaaaaaaaahaaaha. I think it's hilarious you even posted that and then said it. You're so bad.
He looked so cute playing with his friend...and his friend's toys. Lol. (Adorable party, btw.)
Ok. I better go so I can email you for real. Heehee.
Foster and JM have so much fun together! Too cute!! I was sad to miss the party because of work :( Great pics of the party!!
Aw, what a precious little party! I'm so glad you emailed me b/c I LOVE your blog!
KRISTEN!!! We loved seeing y'all, and I am sitting here cracking up yet again about the wedgie. I tried to upload the video, but realized that my mom took my cord home with her to Selma!!!!! AH!
I didn't realize that Foster was chillin with all the toys during cake time- that's awesome and hilarious! Once I get that cord back though, that video is going viral! I watched it on the camera and you can distinctly hear you and I cracking up about the wedge. I love Foster to pieces- and you and Wood even more! Miss you guys!!!!
