The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I have always had so much fun with all that is going on in December.  I love it! Having a child now, makes this Christmas season a lot more fun too.  I keep reminding myself that if I begin to stress or feel overwhelmed, I have lost the true meaning of Christmas.

On Saturday, I did a "Jingle Bell Yard Sale"  with the youth group.  We listened to Christmas music, gave out hot chocolate, and sold some junk from the church attic.  Surprisingly, we had a good turn-out and they made some money for the youth group!

Afterwards, my friend Angie and I took our children to get their silhouettes done by Clay Rice.  I absolutely love this artform! Silhouettes have been done since the 18th century and I think it is just beautiful!  I'm not going to show them on the blog yet, because they are going to be Christmas gifts;)  The way he cuts it out in about 2 minutes is incredible!

Look how snug they are in the car!  But on the ride home, they weren't so happy.  Foster and Alice were crying and wanting out of there car seats.  Wiley is a trooper and a great helper, but we cracked up when he said, "I'm so tired of these babies!"

Lunch date and they were all so good. Foster drank out of a straw for the first time.  I didn't know he could do that yet!

On Sunday afternoon, we went to the Gingerbread Wonderland to decorate a gingerbread house and meet Santa for the first time!

Y'all, I can't believe I didn't take him to see Santa last year.  He was only 10 weeks old, so I didn't do it but now I want that picture, so I wish I had done it! Oh well...

So glad to see our friends Lane and Rayne!  Do y'all see all the wildness going on behind us?  Moms, and cameras, and kids... oh my!

Foster's Gingerbread house.  He kept sticking his finger in it to get some icing.  Even when we got home he was sneaking to it. Ha!

And the highlight of Foster's day was meeting Santa Claus!

Not...

This picture just makes me laugh.  He was instantly fine when I picked him back up!  And yes, he is wearing shorts, with snowmen on his outfit-  It is 70 degrees outside!  Where is winter?  I'm not complaining, I'm actually liking this weather!

ROTFlL. I was ready for the "awwww...how sweet" Santa pic....but you know what? You're not a mom until you have one like THIS! I let out a laugh when I saw this! Poor Foster! Lol.

The very first one is so cute, too. I recognized Angie's kiddos. ;) I was just imaging how Wiley must have been feeling...and then his comment. Ha! What a character! :)
