Over the Weekend...

We had a busy and fun weekend in Selma.  Lately we are always going to Selma-we love it.
The hubby got a "really awesome new fishin' pole" for graduation that he has been itching to use. Thanks, Luke!  I went with him, even though if the fish aren't biting I quickly lose interest.  Well, the fish weren't biting.  So...I sat down and played Words with Friends.  That was more fun.
 The scenery was so nice.

Isn't it beautiful?  God's creation is breathtaking.

We joined Wood's cousins at their cabin for a crawfish boil.
Foster is usually SO good but he cried the whole time!  I didn't know what to do with him because he rarely does that.  I think he might have had gas.  Eventually though he fell asleep.

We bought Foster a little pool to go beside the big pool so he could play in his float.  He loved it.

I also found some really great finds at the flea market.  One of my favorite things to do is shop at flea markets.  I love finding great deals and little treasures!  For some reason blogger isn't letting me upload the pictures, so I'll just have to show you another day.

Have a great week!

The time of his life.... in the kiddie pool

When we were at the beach, we surprisingly had the resort to ourselves.  Well, the pool area anyway.  There were a few people around the pool early in the day, but when we took Foster out about 5:30 p.m. there was no one!  The big pool was too cold, but then we spotted the baby pool...Score!  It was actually warm.  We laughed because if there had been a lot of children there we would have thought it was from tt...

The baby pool was only 1 foot deep, so we slipped the little guy into his float and let him have at it.  He was having so much fun.  The "ba bab ba ba ba ba baaasss" were flowing as loudly as ever.  Foster was laughing and "walking" all over the pool.  So cute.

Woo Hoo!

To help Foster get used to the water, some people have suggested letting go of him while in the pool. They say it will help him not be afraid, so he will be a good swimmer.  I definitely want him to get used to the water and be a good swimmer, but the thought of dropping him under the water makes my heart drop to my feet.  Just the thought of it. I can't do it.  Could you do that?

 Are they sweet or what?

Lots of fun.  Can't you tell?

1st Beach Trip with an Anniversary in there somewhere

I love going to the beach.  Soaking up the sunshine and relaxing with my toes in the sand is heavenly to me.  We were really looking forward to getting the chance to #1 go to the beach and #2 take the little guy to see the beach.  Heck, I probably would have been happy to go anywhere.  You know the feeling of just needing a vacation?  Well, I was there. And my pale white skin was begging for a tan.

Seaside

"Don't worry Mommy, I will be napping in just a minute."

And thankfully he woke up three hours later.

A nice little break for me!

Oh, I almost forgot!  It was our 3rd wedding anniversary on May 10th as well.
The night before we had our anniversary dinner at Bone Fish Grill because it was near the condo.  It was just easier that way since we were lugging around a half ton baby seat and a sleepy kid.  The next day we spent time on the beach and did a little shopping. A pretty nice anniversary, if you ask me.

I love my sweet and awesome husband so much!  I pray that I will be the wife that encourages, supports, loves and respects him the way the Lord would have me to.  I'm so thankful that God brought us together.

Foster was loving it all.  He was in such a good mood!

"This is so much fun!"

That little face melts my heart every time.

Ice cream break.

You know every girl needs to eat some ice cream before getting in a swim suit.

ugh...
While we were in Seaside we came across Justin Gaffrey's art studio and he does amazing art.  I love it!  He uses so much paint and it looks so cool!  I don't know if you can tell in this picture how much paint is on there but it was a lot.  He does several sunflower paintings and I have a new affinity for sunflowers since we got engaged in a beautiful field of them.  As soon as I can, I want to buy one of his paintings.  Love it.

Until next time....

7 on the 7th!

Foster turned 7 months old on May 7th!  Wow, if I blink we are going to be celebrating his 1st birthday!   We didn't do our monthly party until Sunday after church, which was the beginning of a very fun week off work to celebrate our anniversary and have a little time to relax together as a family before things get busy again.  More on that later.

In the rush to sing to Foster and get the pictures taken so we could get out to the pool and get our tan on, his pictures are without clothes.  I wish I had dressed him for his 7th month photos, but he still looks adorable to me!

Enjoying our singing!

What's happening this month?
He is absolutely the sweetest and best little boy!  I am so in love!
Finally sleeping from 7p.m. to about 7a.m.!=Awesome
Wearing Size 3 diapers.
Wearing 9-12 month clothing.
He can completely give himself a bottle now.  I just had it over and he feeds himself.  I can't believe he is getting so big!
As you can obviously see... he loves to eat!  Everything is yummy except green beans, he really dislikes  green beans.
There is absolutely no sign of a tooth anywhere.  I heard you can't have both hair and teeth as a baby-that's just not fair:)
Still loves bath time!  After bath he needs detangler.
Still pitches a fit every time he gets put in the car seat-then he gives in.

He is a little fish and loves the pool!

Law School Graduation!

I think blogger is having some issues and deleted my last post about the tornadoes. I read some other blogs that said their posts got deleted too.  I will have to re-do it later.  Unfortunately, I didn't save it like I should have!

On Saturday, May 7th, Wood graduated from Law School!  Due to the tornadoes in Tuscaloosa, the undergraduates and graduate students aren't walking until August, but the law students got to walk on the scheduled date.  I think they have to walk in May to take the bar, but I'm not sure.  It was a great day that has been a long time coming!  Afterward, we went out to lunch at DePalma's- it was so good!  Wood and I used to eat there all the time when we first moved to Tuscaloosa.

The day the tornadoes hit was exam week so everything got pushed back.  Wood is still studying and finishing up his exams.  The final exam is the only grade they have all semester, so they had to take it.  He starts his bar class tomorrow and has a final and a paper due next week as well.  I'm dreading all the studying that he will have to do this summer, but it will all be over after July!  Well...maybe...

I love this picture of my two boys!

I am so proud of the hard work and dedication that my sweet husband has in everything he does.  He is such a blessing to everybody. I am so thankful for him!

Thank you so much to everybody that shared the day with us!
