I've never actually been to Mardi Gras but I love all the festivities and parties to celebrate it. I'm sure I'd love to go- minus all the craziness.
Last Tuesday night the youth group hosted a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. This used to be an annual fundraiser that I wanted to get back into place.
I didn't manage to get a group picture of everybody together, but I did get a few individuals.
They all did so good making pancakes, scrambling eggs and frying bacon.
It's also nice to have extra hands to help with Foster!
The teens had a great fundraiser and made lost of money for trips.
After the pancake supper, I wiped pancake batter off my face, changed clothes real quickly and met Wood at a newcomers party to celebrate all the new people in town- and a good excuse to get together.
You've probably heard me say that I love living in a small town. It has been fun lately because right around the time we moved here, so did a lot of other young families.
Heather, me and Maggie Scott posing with masks...
I honestly don't know who this is, but he's an NFL player for the Bengals and he's from Selma. I felt like such a dork asking to get my picture with him, but I wanted to share that he was there too.
We had a good time and then the next day was the beginning of Lent.
I LOVE this time of year as we anticipate Easter!
