School Days

August 15th was Foster's first day of "school" in the toddler class.  He goes 3 days a week in the mornings and he loves it!  He is my little people person for sure.
It's the perfect time for me to spend time on youth lessons, bible studies, housework, errands and whatever else is going on.  It helps me stay focused and organized.

I was trying to get a good "first day" picture, but he was searching for a paci.  The day before school started he got another haircut-  I know it's really short, but it will grow back soon really soon!
I kinda think he may be a little calmer with the short hair;)

He walked right on in the classroom and started playing.

I didn't get pictures before we went in, so I had to do it on the way out to the car.

When I drop him off, he knows he has to put his paci in the backpack until I pick him up. But today he didn't make it to the car.  When he saw me walk in-  he unzipped that backpack to get it!

Foster is loving school and doing great!  His teachers say he is very mature for his age.

He is 22 months old.
34 inches tall.
And he weighs 25 pounds!

I'm so thankful for my sweet boy!

Pregnancy Update!

Baby J has been growing right on schedule.  I can't believe we are into the third trimester and he'll be here before we know it.  We can't wait!  But we still have a lot to do.

As of right now, we are gearing up to make the transition to the big boy bed for Foster, we are also slowly getting used to the idea of potty training, planning Foster's 2nd birthday and we need to start working on the nursery-  but we had a leak that caused some issues just in the nursery so that will have to wait. Good thing babies are little, but I'm working hard on getting it finished in time!

I'll do a quick recap of belly shots and then we'll keep up more closely from 30 weeks
until the big day!

10 Weeks
This was before we shared the news, but I was feeling the effects and ginger ale was my favorite thing!

14 Weeks
We finally shared the news and it seemed like it took forever!  Pregnancy is a really long time;)

16 Weeks
Sometime after this, we decided to find out the gender of sweet baby #2 with a party.
You can see it here.

20 Weeks
Halfway there!
Still having some morning sickness, but overall everything is going great.

22 Weeks

24 Weeks
We still are praying about a name for this little guy.

 27 Weeks

28 Weeks

29 Weeks
This was before church on Sunday and Foster wanted to hold his back pack for the picture.  I figured out that he likes to have it close by, because that's where the pacis go before he goes to "school."  Silly little boy!

Ok friends, that's where we are today.
We are praying and thanking the Lord for these precious blessings and we are looking forward to what is before us!

"One thing I do:  forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.  Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that to you; however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained."  - Phil. 3:13-16

Family Beach Time

Summer has gone by so fast and we have been very busy!  Y'all could probably tell by my lack of posting that life with a toddler and being pregnant has kept my time scarce.  Over the summer, Foster hasn't gone to MDO and I have tried to keep his time occupied, which has left me none to myself.

I'm going to update later on baby boy #2, but this pregnancy has been going great so far! I can't wait to meet this little guy, but we still have some time!

In June we spent a few days at the beach and I was so glad Wood finally took some time off work!  I'm trying to talk him into doing it again before school starts, but we'll see.

Watching the waves from a distance.  He only loved them when his Daddy was holding him!

Seriously, I'm still cleaning sand out of places, because this little guy was rolling in it! Babies at the beach is a lot of work, but so much fun.

One of the places we love to go eat is Jessie's Place in Magnolia Springs, AL.  We got engaged in a sunflower field in Magnolia Springs so I love going back there.  It's such a quaint little town.

I'm 20 weeks pregnant in this picture.

After lunch we took Foster to the Gulf Shores Zoo.  It is a really good zoo for children and they have a lot of different petting stations, so children can get up close with the animals.

He loved it when they licked him!

By the end of the trip to the zoo we were all a hot stinky mess!  Foster wanted to touch everything and I gave him his paci to keep the kisses to a minimum.

He was telling this goat to "move!"  Foster wanted to slide but he did not care. Ha!

In the kangaroo pen we got to hold a little joey named "Foster."  It was so cute in that bag all snuggled up.

In the afternoons, he loves to fill up the pool and spend the rest of the night jumping and sliding!

In typical fashion, on the way out of town we have breakfast with my Paw Paw at Cracker Barrel.  It's always great to see him!  There is something really nice about consistency and I'm thankful that I still have times with him.

Three of my favorite guys.

Stay posted for more updates on what we've been up to. I sure have missed y'all!
